As chairman of Vistage Brandywine Valley, Jim coaches 60 different business executives in four different Vistage groups. He helps them grow habits that:

Professional Experience Before Vistage

Before Vistage, Jim held many high-level leadership positions in companies from a wide range of industries in:

  • Banking
  • Marketing
  • Non-residential construction
  • Real estate development

Jim’s early career

After graduating from the Naval Academy Jim served in the US Navy with 4 deployments across the Pacific Ocean. He started his civilian career while working on his MBA in southern California as territory salesperson for a computer firm. He later was Executive Director for the Baltimore County, Maryland Economic Development Commission.

He later was Executive Director for the Baltimore County, Maryland Economic Development Commission. Subsequently, he was a Senior VP for a major commercial Bank and later a co-owner of a design-build construction company in Baltimore.

Jim’s later career

In the 14 years before Jim was recruited by Vistage, he served as CEO in the banking industry and founded his own sales & marketing company, which helped his clients improve their earnings by multi-million dollar figures.
